City Kids Summer Program 2008
We are offering three week-long fun and educational camps for children aged 3-6. These camps will be perfect for children who are eager to learn new things and who love to get messy. Each theme-based camp follows our learn through play philosophy. Maximum enrollment for each session is 14.
Venue: City Kids School, 2/F, 12 Borrett Road, Mid-levels.
Session 1: Science and Nature
Children will be encouraged to develop their natural curiosity about the physical world through hand- on science experiments. Through games and structured play children will develop and further their curiosity about the natural world.
7-11 July, M-F, 9-12
Session 2 & 3: Art and Dramatic Play
Children will paint, draw, sculpt and create as they participate in developmentally appropriate art projects. Children will be encouraged to use their creativity and imagination as they dress-up, sing, dance and engage in dramatic play.
Session 2: 14-18 July, M-F, 9-12.
Session 3: 11-15 August, M-F, 9-12
Session 4: Back to School Fun
This session is designed to ease children back into the school routine and build up their confidence and social skills. Children will participate in structured activities focusing on literacy and numeracy. Children will also have many opportunities to ‘learn through play’ by engaging with art, sand, water, building materials, music, and dramatic play. Perfect for children who are about to start their first year of primary school. Younger children welcome too.
18- 22 August, M-F, 9-12
Fees: $1500 a session
(Sessions 2 & 3 have an additional $250 materials fee)
10% discount for siblings.

All of the sessions will have a recess time and healthy snacks will be provided.
City Kids teachers will plan and teach the program. Children can attend without being accompanied by an adult and do not need to be enrolled in the regular City Kids program. Borrett Road Parent & Toddler Summer Program 2008
Our popular playgroups for toddlers 10 months- 3 years will continue over the summer. Parent & Toddler is a unique playgroup that offers a setting for Mums to get together and make new friends (or see old ones) and toddlers the chance to play and interact with other toddlers in a developmentally appropriate and enriching setting. The emphasis of the program is ‘learn through play’. Toddlers have the opportunity to paint, glue, and play with play doh, sand, and water. They can build, climb, drive and engage in dramatic play. The program is semi-structured with a free-play session followed by a group snack (provided), then a circle time with stories and singing. The facility has a large air-conditioned space and an outdoor balcony with ride-on toys.

We have two types of sessions: parent majority and helper majority. We make this distinction because we understand the important role that both parents and helpers play in raising children in Hong Kong. We also feel that Parent & Toddler is an important social outlet for adults, and that each group can benefit from a structured opportunity to meet new friends.

This summer we are offering a new fee structure. You can purchase blocks of five sessions. You can attend any five sessions anytime over the summer.
Block of 4 sessions- $480
Block of 8 sessions- $900
Drop –in rates- $150
Sibling discount- 10%
Sessions are transferable within families only. Sessions must be used by 28 Aug.
